Settings to get shared calendar inbox working?

My husband has shared his calendar with me with full view and edit capabilities. He receives notifications in his calendar inbox whenever I add or modify in the calendar. I do not receive any notifications in my calendar inbox when he adds or modifies something on the shared calendar. We are both working on iPhone 6

I have the same problem. The iOS update seemed to break it. I signed onto iCloud and added email updates so I get those now
