Why has WhatsApp been slow and laggy this morning?

Since today morning ( 26 th Nov) what's app is starting up very slow. Each window is opening much slower today

I don't know, but if it were me, I'd attempt to find an answer from the actual developers of the app via support@whatsapp.com.
