Trying to point my iTunes back up folder to my second hard drive on my macbook pro so I can open up space on my main boot drive. Everyone went perfect in terminal to create the link and copied the backup to my second drive.

When I sent to back up the iphone in itunes, i got the error 'Itunes could not back up the iphone ''name of iphone'' because the back up was curropt or not compatible with the iphone

delete the back for this iphone and then try again

I think my last back up was on my iphone 5S and now I have a iPhone 6. Could that be it? should I delete the old one?

    Any thoughts?
