How can I unblock the screen of my iPhone 4?

I tried to answer an email this morning and without noticing, I blocked my iPhone out. I cannot do anything: make/answer phone calls, for example, and a framework appears on all the screen icons. I have already turned it off and have taken the SIM off but it would work.

Reboot your phone by holding the Power and Home button until you see the Apple logo, let go and see if that does it.
