    i have tuned on back up option ,yet i cannot restore messages

    If you are bacing up to iCloud and not your computer via iTunes they should be, Whenever I do a software upgrade my choice is iTunes and restore from backup after setting up as new, I get everything back and should be the same way with iCloud.
