    My rule of thumb for iPads, iPhones and MacBooks is this.

    Get as much storage as you can afford. You can't have too much.

    As far as the recipes, etc? I would suggest OneNote and OneDrive.

    I went 64 gigs. I think that's a good sweet spot. My husband uses the recipe app "my recipe book". He loves it

    Depends on how you use it. If you are replacing a lap top I would say 128.
    If I were to get a new iPad it would be in addition to a laptop so I would get 16.
