This is legit.. Not a stolen phone. My mother in law gave me her old phone and it will not allow me to activate it. The phone was working but I mistakenly reset the phone so that I could have a fresh phone to use it as a game machine for my kids..

So now I am sitting here with a $300 brick.. Any ideas on how to get past this? I have tried all the YouTube stuff without success.. I just want to play games on it and pay legitimately for them..

I believe the phone needs a SIM card in it to go thru the initial process after a reset. Try to put the original sim in it. If the sim slot is broken you may need to get it fixed at an iPhone repair shop.
