My ipad is full and I do not have space to down ios updates.

Both my ipad and iphone are full. I cannot delete emails from my ipad (only one at a time), so I need to delete photos and/or music from my ipad/iphone to make room for updates to iOS, other apps, etc. If I detete any photos from my ipad/iphone, will they also be deleted on my computer?

They won't be deleted on the computer but it might also be easier to just update through iTunes on your computer and then you are not using device space to store the update.
