    I added the terminal copy-and-paste line and got:

    Password:
    sudo: /Applications/Install OS X Yosemite.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia: command not found

    I added the correct password but didn't get:
    "Copy Complete" when it was done.

    Before using terminal I followed your instruction to erase, rename and format the thumbdrive using your printed instructions.

    What happened?

    I don't know what to tell you. I followed the same iMore Blog instructions found via the following link, and it worked like a charm. All I can say is try again.
