How do I remove the Stocks app (iPhone 4S IOS 8)?

iPhone 4S IOS 8 Built in App

How to remove the app "Stocks" which, I understand, was part of
built in package for iPhone 4.

It does not allow toggling and removal.

Shall be grateful for assistance. Tried other suggestions to access
from notifications to remove. Not successful. Can find no "Today"
option in notifications.

It is not able to be removed, it is built into iOS.

You can put them into separate folder. They won't be deleted but hidden.

Like others have said. You can't remove stock apps. Stick them in a folder and forget about them.

On my phone, when I scroll all the way down to the end of notifications, I see an option to edit the notification settings. I was able to remove stocks from there. hope it helps.

That'll remove the Stock-related notification, but it will not remove the stock app from the device.
