When I turn Siri on when I say hey Siri why doesn't he come on?

Okay, real answer...
It only works when the iPhone is plugged in. So, if it is not plugged in "Hey Siri" will not trigger the action.

The phone has to be plugged in for Hey Siri to work.

It actually does work without being plugged in after you have activated Siri. Hold down the home button until Siri opens and then it works.

Just be careful when your iPhone is plugged in to recharge and your radio or TV is on which can trigger a response from Siri. This happens to me when I'm listening to talk radio! It can be annoying at times.

Not really. Otherwise it's draining your battery keeping the mic open constantly listening for "Hey Siri."

I had to turn it off, because every tech podcast would set her off in my car . Now that I use the Watch I can do my Hey Siri'ng from my wrist.
