I added icloud to my pc and pressed apply, but it has been applying for the last 4 hours

After pressing apply, it has been running for 4 hours but appears to be still loading. I can see that it has accessed my icloud photos, but I am wondering if I should continue to wait or start up outlook to see if my calendar or contacts are being updated.

It does all of the syncing in the background. So, depending on how many photos you have to sync, it could take a while. I took me about 4-5 hours on my rMBP - and I only had about 500 photos.
