How do I add events from MacPro

I updated both my phone and MacPro. Now I am unable to add events to my calendar. I am also unable to update my phone from my Mac calendar. Help!

Is the calendar you're using associated with an email service like iCloud? If so, make sure both devices are identically configured and make sure the calendars on both devices are set to sync in the iCloud Settings or whatever email account you're using) on each device. Alternatively, you can try signing out of the accounts on both devices and then signing back in. After installing Yosemite on my MacBook, my calendar wouldn't sync over to my iPhone until I signed out and then signed back in via the settings.
