How do I change calendar view as a list of events, without the months showing?

The screen shows the 2014 months above plus todays events listed below. I don't want to see the monthly calendars but do want to see all my events listed so that I can scroll up and down to see what appointments I have.

There is a little icon on the top just to the right of the time that looks like a square with two lines under it- click that when you are in month view

The entire OS is simple to use and self explanatory, but the list view is always a bit tricky. From one screen you get a complete list view, but from another you get a list view for that day. Tricky tricky
