I keep reading that new Yosemite OS comes with free iWorks. How do I download it?

iWork looks like it still costs $$ in the App Store. Where did you hear that it would be free? Are you sure it wasn't just a "free" update for existing users?

Thanks. You are correct and I didn't throughly read the information.

"The newly updated iWork apps are available to download for free for users who already own an older version."
