    Hi,

right now i use the "old" fotostream to get all pictures automatically synchronized to my mac book using Aperture. Aperture synchs the fotostream to my local mediathek.

With IOS 8.1 icloud foto library will become available for everyone. At least a beta version.

Until the new fotos app will be available in 2015 i will continue with Aperture.

Does someone have a clue if it is possible to activate the new icloud foto library and still get all fotos automatically synchronized to my local mediathek using Aperture?

Will the old fotostream still be available after changing to icloud foto library?

Or is Aperture able to get all fotos automatically out ouf the icloud foto library?

Maybe someone has an idea how this will work........

    Thanks.

iOS 8 in now officially available. Having said that, iCloud Photo Library should work in the same manner as Photostream with the exception of the 1000 pic limit / 30-day availability limit so in essence, the "Old Photostream" should be technically unchanged. In regard to Aperture, I don't know.
