what is the best way to go about buying ipad air 2 with 4g??

Looking to buy my mom new ipad air 2. I want to get it with 4G so she has the convenience of using it whenever she wants, not just when shes in a WiFi area. She currently has AT&T for her provider with the 10GB family share plan that AT&T has been advertising for the past couple months. Is it better to buy the iPad directly from AT&T or to buy it through Apple. Any informative buyers information would be very appreciated, thanks.

Sometimes the carriers have incentive if you buy it through them. With my iPad MiniR, I saved 100.00.
