    Yes, it is compatible. Microsoft need to pick up the slack and release a new version already, it's been 4+ years.

    Worst case scenario, if you have an Office 365 account, you can use the web version of the Microsoft Office applications.

    So far no problems on my end with Microsoft .... I think Apple also released a upgraded version of the iwork suite as well if you can't get word to work...
