How do i put my photos back to thumb nail instead of by date

I updated my phone now my pictures are by date i want them back like the thumbnail style

For now, click Albums at the bottom of the Photos app and you will get that view back.

8.1 will bring back the Camera Roll that everyone was used too.

In Photos, select the Album view (at the bottom of the screen, instead of the Photos view). Then select any album. The "Recently Added" album is the functional equivalent of the old "Photo Roll".
