How do I remove recurrent FB calendar entries?

Removing recurrent FB calendar entries.

How can I remove a recurrent Facebook calendar entry that I've declined from appearing on my iPhone calendar? I have some that are not appearing anywhere in FB but then on my iPhone calendar they are still appearing every day, all day. I have an iPhone 5.

Have you tried long press on the entry and deleting the series?
