Why am I receiving messages on my iPad but they do not appear on my iPhone 5c?

I receive messages on my iPad but they do not appear on my iPhone 5c.

I can send messages from both devices but I am not receiving messages on my iPhone.

Have you tried hard reset on you phone?
On your 5C, is iMessage turned on?
