How do I mass delete emails on iPad Air?

I would like to know how to mass delete emails on iPad air

In the mail app, while viewing the list of messages you want to delete, tap the "Edit" button.
Then tap on each message you want to delete; they will get a little checkmark beside them.
Then tap the delete button.
