Why are emails from a VIP contact going to spam folder?

I have one of my contacts listed in my VIP folder. For the last two days any email she sends me goes straight to the spam folder. How do I fix this?

I don't know. I have 3 people listed as VIPs in the native Mail app and any email from all three goes directly to the VIP folder. Is it possible that the email account has the email address listed as SPAM via the account's website SPAM filters?
