Should I use third party data eraser?

Just got new iPhone 6 and planning to sell my iPhone 5. In addition to following John's advice in the sticky to restore phone to default setting, is it advisable to use third party software to wipe the phone?

It's not necessary, but it's your device, and if using a third party eraser gives you peace of mind then go for it, in my opinion.
