I have an iPhone 6 and I am having problems with deleting my work email, how can I fix this problem?

I have an iPhone 6 and having problems with my work email.

My email works perfectly except I cannot delete my emails to the trash.
Is it a phone problem and does anyone know how to fix it

Since its a work email, the IT Dept may have phones set like that for security purposes. You might want to check with them.
