    I am trying to set up my work email and gmail accounts. Is it possible to have separate icons for each email account?

    You mean like the envelop for the mail app? No, you cant. When you open the mail app however, you will see on the main Mailboxes page all your separate email accounts. Then you can go into each one individually or choose all inboxes to see all the emails together.
