I received an iMessage last night, but today it says it waiting for activation. Why?

I was able to receive msgs last nite. This morning, nothing. settings says imessage on, but waiting for activation. I have rebooted & reset & still nothing. Any ideas?

I don't know why that is. Were the messages you received last night iMessages or SMS messages? Are you connected to the internet either via Wi-Fi or cellular data?
