Since updating to iOS 8, my iPad 2 is slow. What can I do to speed things up?

I suppose you can try restoring your device and setting it up as new. Also, you can go through each settings and make changes accordingly. Other than that, feel free to be a tad bit more detailed. For instance, is your iPad slow surfing the web, slow to open and close app, slow generally or what?
