How do I setup Google apps work Gmail account on iOS 8?

I feel like I'm stupid or something. My company uses Google Apps for our Gmail and Calendar and all of that stuff.

So my email address isn't @gmail.com, but rather it's myname@mycompany.com. But to login at the computer, I still go to gmail.com then use myname@mycompany.com and my password.

So now I have the new iPhone 6. I want my email on it. When I go to add an email account and select Google and put in myname@mycompany.com and my password, it doesn't find the account.

Is there something special I have to do here? I think I do have 2-step verification turned on. But for that, I thought when I enter my password, that I'll just receive a text message with a code to put in. But right now, it doesn't even seem like I'm connecting.
