Got the new 6 yesterday but can't connect anything to Bluetooth. Why?

Hello. Got the new 6 yesterday but can't connect anything to Bluetooth. It states the name of my device but when searching for other devices simply doesn't connect.

Suspect it relates to the set up but I can't see anything.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Are you certain the other devices are in discovery mode?

Not sure what you mean by that - sorry. Can't connect to anything.
