How do I remove Recents & Favorites from appearing when I double tap the home button?

I need to delete the icon circles of favorite and recent icon circles. - It is a nonsense to have.

how it is seen - press home round button twice , then on top has Recent with round icon of contact names.

question how to delete those icons.

Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> show in app switcher

Did you bother to read this thread? The answer is about 2 posts above your question.

Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars

Scroll down to the Contacts section

Show in App Switcher > Phone Favorites > [OFF]
Show in App Switcher > Recents > [OFF]
