    how do you delete apps that are waiting to download?

    sometime you can tap it to pause the download then delete it like any other app.

    othertime rebooting the phone will restart the download. allowing you to either use it or delete it once finished.

    a more advanced way is go settings>general>usage and find the app based off file size and tell it to delete as if you were worried about it taking up space.

    also the good old itunes route and plug the phone in and sync it with the version downloaded on the PC.
