    As long as those apps do not require you to authenticate via a cable provider, you should be able to use them.

    Have you tried? Since the apps are free, it’s not like it costs you anything to find out.

    Most of them require you to authenticate with a cable provider. Some may offer limited content without that. Just try them.

    Live TV seems to always require a cable provider. You might get pre recorded TV without a provider.
