I'll be heading to the Covent Garden Apple Store in London to check out the event. It's my first time joining an Apple product launch, how many hours prior to store opening do people usually begin queuing up in the UK?

Difficult to say really.

Because I don't know the quantity of iPhones being sold. Or the quantity of buyers. But if I was you I would join a forum that is tailored to the store in question. Talk to the people in the que.
