cant back up iphone

no i have tried but wont do it because i habe a passcode and cant unlock it because screen is broken

Then unfortunately there is nothing we can do for you. You have to get the screen fixed first. I'd like to thing you've made several backups before the screen broke. If not, then it may prove to be a difficult lesson to learn. One other thing, I am assuming the people who will replace the screen stated that you need to backup your device "just in case".
