Can I transfer short homemade videos (and photos) from my PC if I buy a a new Mac book ?
Also is an Air book sufficient for storing about 100 short (3 mins ) videos or should I invest in a MacBook Pro?
My needs are mostly e mails, apps (games) internet searches and writing stories

Yes. If you have iCloud, you can use it or you can use a USB flash drive, a cloud service like DropBox, etc.

Both should be sufficient.
