location reminders not working

I keep getting a message that my calendar service does not allow location based reminders. I have turned off reminders in my outlook exchange. Reminders do not show up on my background refresh app screen and my reminders app is active. I am running iOS 7 on Iphone 5. Any suggestions?

Which Calendar? Do you refer to the stock calendar on iPhone?
