My iPhone 4 was stolen when someone broke into our home. I had Find My Phone installed on the phone and used it to wipe and lock the phone remotely. Now 3 months later a guy calls me and says he bought my phone and when he turned it on he saw the message it put on it that said that it was stolen and my phone number. He's returned the phone but it's still locked, how do I unlock it? I want to give the guy the phone because he was honest enough to look me up and get it back to me. How do I ensure that all my personal information is wiped and unlock the phone so that he can have it?

Wouldn't you be able to do that with Find My Phone? Or maybe this Apple doc can help, although I'm not sure I fully understood it....

You would login to the iCloud website, and then deactivate it by wiping it using the website's Find My iPhone option.
