Caller id not working

I have iphone 5. For some reason, there is only one contact whose name will not be displayed when I am called or texted by him. All the information in my contacts list is just like everyone else. Any suggestions why his name won't show? It used to, now it won't.

Unless he's shielding his number, his name should appear on the display as it is listed in your Contact app. Give a call to your wireless carrier and ask if they know of a way for someone to do that.

Most people block their number ID using *67 on a per call basis. Verizon has a service that will block your ID to all calls. So if your contact has something like that, then you may not see the ID. If this person is in your contacts list, I would assume they are a friend, family member or business contact. You might just ask them if they have their ID blocked. What does it show when they call? Restricted? Private Number?
