How can I use my already downloaded music for ringtones?

How can I use my already downloaded music for ringtones? Even when I purchase ringtones they automatically go to my music folder, then I can't get to them to set for individual ring tones.

Where have you looked for the purchased ringtones? They should be in Settings>Sounds> Ringtones. I think! The only way I know to use music from your music library as ringtones without buying it, involves using the computer and seems like more trouble than it's worth.
