Don't search for it and you can block it that way because never once in all the phones I have had have I ever just had porn pop up on me.
If this is for someone else you are worried about then lock your phone so you are the only one with access to it.

Surely the account holder contacting Verizon directly and asking them to block it would be a viable answer? I'm not in the States and unfamiliar with how that works over there but I know you can do this in the UK.
