iPhone 5 wont turn on?

Today I let my iPhone 5 run out of battery and now when I try to charge it, it just dead?? Help

Hold in both buttons and see what's happens.

I had the same problem with my 4 and like zero said hold down both buttons. I guess it's called dfu mode when that happens.
