My iPhone 5s 16GB always displays the same battery level until I reboot. How can I fix this?

My iPhone 5s 16GB always displays the same battery level unless I turn it off and on again. Only then will it display the true battery level. I have to keep turning it on and off if I want to find out how much battery it has. Any ideas on how to fix it?

Have you considered a back up and restore and see if that fixes your issue.

What iOS version are you running and is your device jailbroken?
