Can I use my current screen protector with the LifeProof Fr??

I am thinking about getting a lifeproof fre' case. But the only problem is I just want to use it on certain times like in the beach or the pool or whatever. But i would like to keep the current screen protector i have on my phone. It is just a basic smooth screen protector from the Verizon store. Im thinking there is no way for it to screw with the case since it is so dang thin. But i am not a super smart guy about tech stuff. any suggestions are welcome.

If it's thin enough, I'd think that it wouldn't bother the case
