    Today on my wife's phone (iPhone 4s) the contact names disappeared and were replaced with numbers. Contact names have disappeared, replaced by the phone numbers. No reason for it. Anybody know how to fix it?

    The first thing I would try is a reset and take it from there. There have been posts regarding this and a reset seems to fix the issue.

    Are you on iOS 7.0.4?? When I still had my 4s, I had this issue as well. Simply rebooting your phone, will solve this problem, but temporarily. Once i updated to 7.0.6, it went away. I recommend you to always update to the latest firmware, which is 7.1.1 at this moment.

    (This is Chris's wife) I'm up to date with iOS 7.1.1!
    This is very frustrating! I know who a few people are by the conversations we had had in texts, but otherwise don't!
