    I'm going to see a show & may want to capture some of it on my iphone5, but I don't want to disturb anyone with the annoying light from my phone screen. Is there a trick for this? Turning the brightness down isn't going to be enough, I want to make it completely dark!

    Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's illegal to film a movie at the theater.

    Definitely 100% illegal even for clips of theatre only footage. So don't do it or risk arrest and a huge fine.
