Can you provide more information? Did you drop it, does the power button not work, did it get wet? We need more information to help.

Press both the power and home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo, and then release them. Let your device boot up to your home screen and then try to shut it down by pressing the power button until you see the slide to power off option.

Do you mean it won't go to sleep, or do you mean it won't power off like a reboot?

Was it really worth your post for that? I am not being sarcastic to you but I am asking you an honest question. How about posting by the same rules we have to. Makes it easy for everybody.

I think it was absolutely worth the post for that. Direct and to the point for someone asking "What can I do about my iPhone that isn't working properly?"

I mean no offense to the OP, but there's no magical series of buttons you press to make broken hardware miraculously start working again.

For me those buttons are the power and hine button.
