MscAir hangs when moving text

Can someone plse explain why this rainbow colored rotating ball appears when I am trying to relocate text? As a result, I cant do anything else!

Are you talking about Cut,Copy and Paste of text and assuming the zoom sphere you see when you tap and hold?
