Back up my windows 8.1 to time capsule

I would like to automatically have proper backups to my time capsule from my windows 8.1 computer. Is this a windows or time capsule thing?

I've always thought that only a Mac was compatible with a Time Capsule.

I can manually send to my time capsule and I did it 6 months ago when I first got the windows 8.1 it kept sending any videos I downloaded automatically and there was a complete copy of ally files that I didn't manually transfer. I do recall some settings on the 8.1 when I first set it up , but not sure
