    I am in Costa Rica and cannot use FaceTime on my iPhone 5S. I have a SIM card with data plan from Movistar . I can use my phone as a hotspot for my iPad 2 and it works awesome but not FaceTime not working on iPhone 5s but will work on iPad-imageuploadedbyimore-forums1397863555.262212.jpg this is the error I am getting.

    Does the provider Movistar support FaceTime? Not all providers do.

    When I use my iPhone 5S as a hot spot for my ipad2 the FaceTime works excellent on the iPad 2 through Movistar.

    Maybe go ahead then and double check yourself and make sure you have the same info in both and everything is set up just like the iPad.

    What fixed it to let us know, Checking to make sure everything matched in the settings on both devices.

    Face time was toggled off in settings. When I switched back to my original Canadian SIM I have a plan just for text messages, no data ) it toggled it off. So I had to toggle it back on manually when I put the Costa Rican SIM that has data in.
